This recipe calls for Sure-Jell, but you can use other brands. [MAKES 6 HALF-PINT JARS] 3 pounds strawberries ½ cup sugar One 1¾-ounce package dry pectin such as Sure-Jell 1. Thoroughly wash six half-pint freezer-safe canning jars and their lids and screw bands. Put the jars, lids, and screw bands in a large pot and add water to cover. Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 15 minutes to sterilize the jars, lids, and bands. Using tongs, lift the jars, lids, and bands from the hot water and dry thoroughly.

Then use your palms to shape the butter into a smooth, uniform log about 1½ inches in diameter and 6 inches long. Roll up the log in the paper and twist the ends of the paper tightly. Refrigerate the butter for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. 3. KIDS CAN husk the corn and remove the silk • grate the lime zest • measure and mix the ingredients for the butter • cut out the parchment paper • roll the butter Prepare a fire in a charcoal or gas grill. Arrange the ears of corn on the grill rack and cook for 5 minutes.
